This community directory and volunteer portal provides links
between charities, councils and communities. The project aims
to match up local not-for-profit organisations with nearby members of the public and the
business community to volunteer their time and resources. DoSomething! co-founder Jon Dee
recommends aged care facilities or organisations wanting volunteers should sign up.
In addition to specialising in geriatric medicine and wound care, Dr Jeffrey Levine is an
accomplished artist. Levine says he began photographing physical manifestations of old age for
lectures and medical publications before stepping back to capture his subjects in daily life and
a new interest in visual imagery developed. He blogs about his worldwide trips to photograph
ageing and his quest to contribute to a new view of growing old.
